Working Local and Close to Home is Far Superior

Would you take the option to work locally for less money? The majority of us who live in West Linn and Lake Oswego are aware that the highest-paying positions are in Portland or in the commercial industrial parks, which are situated in locations with restricted residential access. However, working locally does not always equate to earning less money. We have a long commute because we live in the suburbs.

Better Quality of Life and Time for Your Family

You can spend more time doing the things you enjoy if your commute to work is shorter. We all have or are engaged in it. that terrible commute each day to work. Working close by will save you either 30 minutes or an hour each trip, but at the end of the week, the time adds up quite quickly. You can find more time for yourself if you cut down on your daily commute.  A higher quality of life and a deeper sense of purpose are provided by working in the community where you reside. Living closer to your place of employment allows you to spend a few extra hours each day with your family or meeting up with friends. You can pursue your interests, play on a neighborhood sports team, or use the opportunity to advance your education. Making time for your interests, passions, and hobbies increases your happiness and productivity at work.

Reducing Your Commute and Working Local Supports Your Community and Saves You Money

A better and more resilient neighborhood results from patronizing local businesses. Working locally enables you to support regional companies. You are purchasing locally rather than on your trip home, whether you are purchasing a sandwich for lunch or going by the grocery store to pick up something for dinner. You can save money by choosing a job that is closer to home. We are all aware of the high cost of commuting. It hurts the wallet whether you take public transportation or drive to work and have to pay for gas, maintenance on your car, and other expenses. Additionally, there is always the temptation to buy coffee and a pastry in the morning or a drink or snack on the way home while you are waiting for your train or bus.
